West Blackhall Street - Public Consultation
Riverside Inverclyde (Ri) is aiming to revitalise West Blackhall Street and promote further investment and improvements in Greenock Town Centre.
Renowned landscape architects - Ironside Farrar - is leading the planning and design of this public realm project.
Our aim is to:
- Give West Blackhall Street a new lease of life and provide better access to the area to encourage greater footfall, a night-time economy and create an attractive location for business, commerce and town centre living
- Create an attractive, welcoming and inviting destination for passengers from Greenock Ocean Terminal
With the design process in its earliest stage, we are hosting a public event to display potential ideas for West Blackhall Street.
We invite residents, traders and visitors to come and view the plans and give your views on how we can make this public realm project a great success for Greenock Town Centre.
The consultation will take place on Thursday 28th June 2018 from 12.00-5.30pm in the Oak Mall Shopping Centre in Greenock.
Consultants Ironside Farrar will be on hand to discuss issues and explore ideas at the 'chicane' in the main concourse at the corner of Clarks, Superdrug and Officers Club.
Further public and trader consultation sessions will be held out with business hours for those unable to attend the initial event.
The plans will also be available to see on Ironside Farrar's and Riverside Inverclyde's website following the event to review and provide feedback.
Alternatively, you can contact Riverside Inverclyde via email here.
