Riverside Inverclyde (Ri), the organisation delivering the economic redevelopment of Inverclyde, has released its review document covering the three-year Inverclyde Economic Development and Regeneration Single Operating Plan (SOP).

In January 2016, Inverclyde Council's Environment & Regeneration Committee approved the recommendation arising from the commissioned document 'Review of the Future of Delivery of Regeneration Services in Inverclyde' that a revised Single Operating Plan should be developed for the period April 2016 to March 2019.

The review highlighted the success of the first two years of the innovative three-year Single Operating Plan between Ri and Inverclyde Council's Economic Development and Regeneration team.

Subsequently, the Single Operating Plan April 2016 to March 2019 was adopted by Inverclyde Council's Environment and Regeneration Committee in April, and the Riverside Inverclyde Board in May 2016.

Highlights during this time include:

  • The completion of the £5m Custom House renovation and full occupancy;
  • 57 new or extended tenancies over the three-year period;
  • A 91% occupancy rate amongst the portfolio - the highest recorded; and
  • Customer satisfaction scores returning a 47 net promoter score (NPS) against a global average of 32.

Dr Gerry McCarthy, Chair of Ri, said:

“The last three years have been an exceptional period for Riverside Inverclyde as we come to the end of the Inverclyde Economic Development and Regeneration Plan.

“I’m delighted that Ri has fully met or exceeded all of its targets and key performance indicators as part of the SOP, and this report is a great reflection of how much has been achieved over the past three years by the Ri team.”

Ri Chief Executive, Fiona Maguire, said:

“Ri prides itself on its relationships with our customers, stakeholders and communities, and I believe we have made some considerable strides in this area as documented by our Customer Satisfaction scores.

“It has been my pleasure to lead this highly-effective and dedicated organisation, and I’d like to thank both the Ri Board and the Staff Team for their support and delivery over the past three years.”
