The Greenock Ocean Terminal project to create a visitor centre and berthing facility is expected to cost £14.7m as part of the £1bn Glasgow City Region City Deal which is funded equally by the Scottish and UK governments.

Morton Chairman Says £2.5m Debt Will Be Written Off

Morton chairman Crawford Rae says the club will not pass on parent company Golden Casket’s £2.5m debt to new potential owners.

Rae told supporters last night at a Q and A session that the Ton’s current debt to its parent company would essentially be written off.

New Wind Farm Plan For Inverclyde Countryside 

A second wind farm in the countryside is being proposed. Gryffe Wind Farm at High Mathernock Farm and Priestside Farm, Auchentiber Road, near upper Port Glasgow would have seven turbines, in addition to three turbines already operating there.

Traffic Light Sequence At Busy Junction To Be Upgraded To Improve Traffic Flow.

Scotland Transerv are introducing new linked technology through GPS to improve the flow and detection at the signals at Brymner Street, Cathcart Street, Virginia Street and Dellingburn Street. A further upgrade will be also carried out further along the A8.

Councillors voted six votes to four to approve an Indian restaurant and takeaway at the former Aulds the Bakers shop at Princes Street in Port Glasgow. The eatery will have 34 seats and be open from 2pm to 11pm, Monday to Saturday and 4pm to 11pm on Sundays.
