Kilpatrick Blane Services (KBS), Scotland’s window control specialists, has been nominated as a finalist in the Scottish Top Employers Awards 2019 hosted by Family Friendly Working Scotland.

The Greenock-based firm is one of three businesses to be nominated in the 'Small Private Employer' category, which comes as a result of its focus and development of its flexible and family friendly working practices.

Jillian Anderson, Managing Director of KBS, said:

“It is a fantastic achievement to be nominated.  As an organisation, we’ve taken some huge strides over the past 18 months to ensure we are an attractive employer that puts our employees needs first.

"Happiness is our core value, and one of our primary business aims is to increase equality within the construction industry by promoting the skills and untapped resource of underrepresented groups.

"Flexible working coupled with paying the Real Living Wage helps staff to have a balance allowing their employment with KBS to be life-enhancing and not simply lifestyle-maintaining.”

Family Friendly Working Scotland works with employers, government, families and others to promote a flexible and family-friendly working culture.

It aims to create a way of working which delivers business success while enabling working families to have the right balance between work and family life.

The winners of the Scottish Top Employers for Working Families Awards 2019, will be announced on 21 March 2019 at the WEST Brewery in Glasgow.

KBS will go up against Perth-based public-relations firm, Volpa, and Glasgow-based Fintech business, Previse.
