Trade Right International - Carishea Soaps Supply Wholefoods Market

Greenock based business, Carishea natural soaps is being launched into every Wholefoods Market Store in the UK from May 2019, with their unwrapped natural soap bars on sale in all seven UK stores.

Made in Greenock, the Carishea unwrapped soap bars are naturally coloured, handcrafted, fragranced with essential oils and made with Shea Butter.

Carishea is a brand of Trade Right International, a ‘more-than-profit’ company or social business, which specialises in a holistic approach to social issues in Scotland and overseas through employment and trade.

Based in Greenock, they operate an employability initiative for ex-offenders and recovering addicts in transition from social exclusion to inclusion through the production of high-end Shea Butter skincare products.

CEO, Trev Gregory said:

"The natural skin care products are handcrafted in Scotland but start in Ghana with women harvesting shea nuts to produce butter; this is then transformed into luxurious products by workers from disadvantaged communities in Scotland.

"The contract to supply Wholefood Market UK is a boost to us, with expected sales of over 4,000 soap bars a month."

Trade Right International is one of Riverside Inverclyde's tenants at Lynedoch Industrial Estate in Greenock.
