Riverside Inverclyde welcomes Global US IT company as new tenant at Gourock Business Centre

Riverside Inverclyde (Ri), the organisation delivering the economic redevelopment of Inverclyde in the west of Scotland, has welcomed a new tenant to its £600k redeveloped Business Centre at Gourock Municipal Buildings

Set to bring quality jobs, and new opportunities to Inverclyde is Accelalpha Inc, a premier business and IT consultancy firm headquartered in Seattle, USA with a global presence in the United States, India, Singapore, and now the United KingdomThis is the multinational company’s first foray into the UK and its Gourock office will be its UK headquarters.  The announcement will see an initial 4 jobs at Gourock, rising to 8-10 over the next 12 months.

Accelalpha provides niche supply chain management solutions in Global Trade Management, Transportation Management, Warehouse Management, and Internet of Things (IoT). The company has delivered hundreds of enterprise level solutions to clients in North America and Asia and is now rapidly expanding its presence in Europe.

Joe Spear, Director at Accelalpha, said:

Burgeoning interest in the Gourock office complex represents yet another success story for Ri, and follows the award-winning £5.8m Gourock Town Centre redevelopment completed in 2016.

Ri has also enjoyed recent success with the development of the Riverside Business Park where over 650 people are employed, planning consent for Baker Street, a pioneering food and drink manufacturing incubator to be completed in 2019 and the six-year, £5 million restoration of Custom House in Greenock which was completed in 2017. 

In addition to further developments and restorations, Riverside Inverclyde has set-up networks of local construction companies and community hubs, including a Local Construction Forum and a Community Benefits Programme, which provides the benchmark to maximise job opportunities for local people.
