Current Projects


The Port Glasgow Railway Station was identified during the Port Glasgow Charrette in 2014 as an area for improvement. In October 2016, 14 magnificent murals depicting areas of Port Glasgow were unveiled.

The King George VI (KGVI) Steering Group was set up as a sub-group of the Port Glasgow Town Centre Regeneration Forum in order to bring forward the restoration of the KGVI building for community use.

The Greenock Town Centre Regeneration Forum (GTCRF) highlights key areas within Greenock town centre that are appropriate for regeneration. A main focus of the Forum's activity is to initially oversee the development and regeneration strategy for guiding future investment in Greenock town centre.

Riverside Inverclyde and Inverclyde Council have agreed to support the efforts by Councillor Ronnie Ahlfeld to set up a heritage centre in the newly refurbished Gourock Municipal Buildings.

In 2015, ri was successful with an application to the Scottish Government to assist with a funding for a charrette for Port Glasgow town centre, through its charrette Mainstreaming Programme 2015-16
